Squash dressing
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- celery, chopped - 1/2 c
- crumbled cornbread - 5 c
- can cream of chicken soup, undiluted - 1 3/4
- chopped, cooked yellow squash, drained - 3 c
How to make squash dressing:
Saute onion, pepper and celery in butter until tender. Add to cornbread and stir well. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Pour into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish. Bake at 400° for 50 minutes. Yields 8 serving. Freezes well.Recipe categories: < 60 mins, Time to make, Side dish.
