Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 c
- water - 1/4 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 oz
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- poultry seasoning - 1 tsp
- yellow squash - 2 lb
- chopped Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
How to make squash casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook squash in water until tender. Drain and mash. Crumble bread into milk and set aside. Saute celery and onion in margarine until tender. Add pepper, poultry seasoning, soup and squash. Stir in bread mixture and cheese. Pour into a 2-quart casserole. Bake 1 hour or until set.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
