Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- yellow squash - 2 lb
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- stick oleo - 3/4 item
- cans mushroom soup - 2 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- grated cheese - 1 item
- Ritz crackers, crushed - 1 item
- Mix squash, onions, salt, sugar and pepper
- chopped onion - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- Pet milk - 1 c
- crackers, crumbled - 2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- mild vinegar - 1/2 c
- beet juice - 1/4 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash and onion until tender, then drain. Mix squash, onions, salt, sugar and pepper. Mix in oleo. Put 1/2 of mixture into baking dish. Add layer of soup, then cheese and then crackers. Repeat this. Heat in moderate oven until cheeseRecipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
