Ingredients/Components

  • yellow squash - 2 lb
  • onion, chopped - 1 item
  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • stick oleo - 3/4 item
  • cans mushroom soup - 2 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • grated cheese - 1 item
  • Ritz crackers, crushed - 1 item
  • Mix squash, onions, salt, sugar and pepper
  • chopped onion - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • Pet milk - 1 c
  • crackers, crumbled - 2 c
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • mild vinegar - 1/2 c
  • beet juice - 1/4 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp

How to make squash casserole:

Cook squash and onion until tender, then drain. Mix squash, onions, salt, sugar and pepper. Mix in oleo. Put 1/2 of mixture into baking dish. Add layer of soup, then cheese and then crackers. Repeat this. Heat in moderate oven until cheese
