Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- butter - 1 item
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- cracker crumbs - 1 c
- large white onion - 1 item
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- yellow squash - 2 lb
- salt and sugar to taste - 1 item
How to make squash casserole:
Boil squash and onion until tender; drain through colander. Add butter; let cool. Add milk, grated cheese, cracker crumbs, eggs and season with salt and sugar to taste. Put in casserole, top with cracker crumbs, if desired, and bake in a 400° oven for 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
