Squash casserole
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- butter, divided - 4 Tbsp
- fine cracker crumbs - 1/2 c
- medium yellow squash, sliced - 3 item
- Velveeta cheese, chopped - 1/3 c
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash and onion in small amount of water until tender. Drain. Add crumbs (reserve 1 tablespoon for top), cheese, egg, salt and 2 tablespoons butter. Put in greased casserole dish and top with rest of crumbs. Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter. Bake at 375° for 15 minutes or until brown.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
