Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- slices American cheese - 4 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- carton sour cream optional - 1 oz
- herb stuffing mix - 1 c
- jar diced pimento optional - 1 oz
- medium yellow squash or 3 zucchini - 6 item
How to make squash casserole:
Cook squash in small amount of water until tender; drain well and mash. Combine soup, sour cream, oregano, pimento, onion and butter. Blend well; add squash, stirring gently. Lightly grease 2-quart casserole dish. Alternate squash mixture and cheese (cut into strips). Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until lightly brown.Recipe categories: Squash, Side dish, Casseroles.
