Ingredients/Components

  • milk - 1 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
  • saltine crackers, crushed - 20 item
  • summer squash - 1 lb

How to make squash casserole:

Boil squash until tender; drain and mash. Add butter, salt and pepper, crackers, egg and milk. Pour into greased dish and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes.
