Ingredients/Components

  • butter, softened - 1 c
  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • egg whites - 3 item
  • self-rising flour
  • flavoring almond or vanilla or you may use 1/4 c - 1 tsp

How to make spritz cookies:

Mix all ingredients, except flour, together thoroughly. Work the flour into the mixture with your hands. Fill a cookie press with cup of the dough at a time. Form cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet in the form of an S, rosettes, bars or other desired shapes. Bake at 400° until set, but not brown, for about 7 to 10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen.
