Ingredients/Components

  • egg - 1 item
  • warm water - 2 c
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • 1/2 sticks margarine, melted - 1 item
  • self-rising flour or 4 c - 4 c
  • sugar 3 tsp - 1/2 c

How to make spoon rolls:

Place yeast in 2 cups warm water. Melt butter; cream with sugar. Add egg. Add dissolved yeast to creamed mixture, then add flour and mix well. Place in airtight bowl. Store in refrigerator. To cook, drop by spoonfuls onto well-greased muffin tins and bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until browned. This dough keeps for several days. Is better on second day.
