Spoon rolls



  • sugar - 1/4 c
  • self-rising flour - 4 c
  • warm water - 2 c
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 1 pkg
  • 1/2 sticks oleo - 1 item

How to make spoon rolls:

Place yeast in 2 cups very warm water. Melt oleo. Place in large bowl and cream with sugar. Add egg. Add water with dissolved yeast, then add flour. Stir until well mixed. Drop by spoonful in well-greased muffin pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.

Unused dough will keep well several days in airtight bowl in refrigerator.
