- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- boiling water - 2 c
- yellow corn meal - 1 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
How to make spoon bread:
Stir corn meal into boiling water for 1 minute; remove from heat. Add butter; beat well. Add beaten eggs; beat well. Beat in milk and mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Pour into hot buttered 3-quart Pyrex dish and bake, uncovered, in a preheated 400° oven for about 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, < 15 mins, Side dish.
