- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- boiling water - 1 c
- soft butter - 1 Tbsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- white corn meal - 1/2 c
How to make spoon bread:
Pour boiling water over corn meal. Add milk, salt, baking powder and butter. Mix and then add beaten eggs. Pour into buttered 1-quart dish. Bake in 400° oven for 20 to 25 minutes, just until set.Recipe categories: Breads, < 15 mins, Side dish.
