Split pea soup with kielbasa
Ingredients/Components
- water
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, diced
- celery, diced - 1 c
- carrots, diced - 1 c
- marjoram - 1/4 tsp
- green split peas - 1 lb
- kielbasa, sliced - 1 lb
- meaty ham bone - 1 item
How to make split pea soup with kielbasa:
Wash peas well and add to water with the ham bone, onion and seasonings. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bone and puree the peas through a strainer or in a blender; return to pan and add remaining ingredients, reserving some of the kielbasa for garnish when ready to serve.
