Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • ketchup - 1/3 c
  • fresh bean sprouts - 2 c
  • hard-boiled eggs, diced - 4 item
  • can sliced water chestnuts, drained - 1 oz
  • fresh torn spinach - 2 qt
  • strips crisp bacon, crumbled - 6 item
  • small onion or 3 green onions, sliced - 1 item

How to make spinach salad:

Dressing:1/2 c. brown sugar1/2 c. vegetable oil1/3 c. vinegar1/3 c. ketchup Combine spinach, bean sprouts, water chestnuts, eggs, bacon and onions. Put all dressing ingredients in jar and mix well. Just before serving, add the dressing to salad and toss.
