Spinach madeline
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- garlic salt - 3/4 tsp
- salt to taste - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery salt - 3/4 tsp
- red pepper to taste - 1 item
- frozen chopped spinach - 2 pkg
- roll jalapeno cheese - 6 oz
How to make spinach madeline:
Cook and drain spinach. Reserve 1/2 cup liquor. Melt butter in saucepan. Add onions. Cook until soft and clear. Add flour. Cook smooth but not brown. Add seasonings. Add cheese. Cut into small squares. Add cooked spinach. If too dry, add liquor from spinach. Put buttered bread crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Note: Can be made day before.
