Spinach lasagna
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- spaghetti sauce - 32 oz
- shredded mozzarella cheese - 1 c
- uncooked lasagna noodles - 9 item
- frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed - 1 pkg
- cottage cheese, non-fat - 10 oz
How to make spinach lasagna:
Mix cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, spinach, salt and oregano together.In a casserole dish, cover bottom with a layer of spaghetti sauce. Add layer of spinach mixture, and top with a layer of noodles. Continue layering, ending with a layer of spaghetti sauce. Pour 1 cup of water around the edges of pan. Sprinkle top with mozzarella cheese.
Cover dish with foil tightly and bake at 350° for 1 hour, 15 minutes. Let stand 30 minutes before serving.
Freezes well, both before baking and after.
