  • salt - 2 tsp
  • water - 6 c
  • pepper - 1/2 1
  • garlic salt - 1 Tbsp
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • minced parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • carrots, diced - 3/4 c
  • frozen English peas - 1/2 c
  • frozen corn - 3/4 c
  • medium potatoes, diced - 2 item
  • can tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
  • uncooked barley - 1/2 3/4
  • small bay leaves - 2 item
  • onions, quartered - 2 item
  • meaty soup bones

How to make spicy vegetable soup:

Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat about 30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Remove soup bones. Cut meat from bones and return to soup.
