Spicy vegetable soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 6 c
- pepper - 1/2 1
- garlic salt - 1 Tbsp
- oregano - 1 tsp
- minced parsley - 1 Tbsp
- carrots, diced - 3/4 c
- frozen English peas - 1/2 c
- frozen corn - 3/4 c
- medium potatoes, diced - 2 item
- can tomatoes undrained - 1 oz
- uncooked barley - 1/2 3/4
- small bay leaves - 2 item
- onions, quartered - 2 item
- meaty soup bones
How to make spicy vegetable soup:
Combine the first 8 ingredients in a large Dutch oven. Bring to a boil and cook over low heat about 30 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Remove soup bones. Cut meat from bones and return to soup.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Vegetables, Soups & stews.
