Spicy szechuan beef
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- oil - 3 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- soy sauce
- stalk celery, thinly sliced - 1 item
- white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- sesame oil - 1/2 tsp
- soup stock - 3 Tbsp
- can water chestnuts - 1 item
- to 3 cloves garlic - 2 item
- wine - 2 tsp
- small carrot, thinly sliced - 1 item
- beef flank, thinly sliced - 1/2 lb
- slices ginger root, thinly shredded - 2 item
- cornstarch, mixed with some water - 1/4 tsp
- hot bean paste or chili sauce
How to make spicy szechuan beef:
Marinade:1 tsp. soy sauce1 tsp. cornstarch2 tsp. oil2 tsp. wine2 tsp. cornstarch Hot Sauce:1 Tbsp. hot bean paste or chili sauce2 tsp. soy sauce1/2 tsp. sugar1 Tbsp. vinegar1/2 tsp. sesame oil1/4 tsp. white pepper Marinate beef for 30 minutes. Combine Hot Sauce ingredients; mix well. Heat oil, ginger and garlic in wok. Add beef and stir-fry. Add shredded carrots, chestnuts, celery and soup stock. Add Hot Sauce.
