Ingredients/Components
- chuck roast of beef - 1 item
- ground hot pepper - 2 tsp
- black pepper - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- cloves garlic, chopped - 2 item
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- tomato sauce - 1 c
- beef broth - 1 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes, undrained - 1 item
How to make spicy pot roast:
Pat roast dry with paper towel. Rub with peppers and salt. Heat oil in pot over moderate heat. Brown roast on all sides. Transfer meat to plate. Pour off fat from pot. Add butter and heat. Add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic. Cook over modRecipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Roast beef.
