Spicy chili sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 1
- ginger - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 2 c
- celery seed - 1 Tbsp
- chopped sweet green peppers
- peeled, cored, chopped red-ripe tomatoes 24 large - 4 qt
How to make spicy chili sauce:
Combine all ingredients. Bring to boiling; simmer until thick as wanted, about 1 to 2 hours. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Pour, boiling hot, into hot jars. Adjust caps. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Yields about 8 pints.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Savory sauces.
