Ingredients/Components

  • packed brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 5 Tbsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • lean ground beef
  • Tabasco sauce - 2 tsp
  • garlic cloves, minced - 4 item
  • can tomatoes - 1 1/2
  • medium onions, diced - 2 item
  • cans dark red kidney beans - 2 oz
  • oregano leaves - 2 tsp
  • medium green peppers, diced - 2 item

How to make spicy chili:

Cook ground beef, onions, garlic and green peppers until beef is browned. Add chili powder; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in tomatoes with their liquid, tomato paste, brown sugar, oregano, paprika and Tabasco sauce. Heat to boiling; stir to break up tomatoes. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 45 minutes. Stir in kidney beans with their liquid. Heat through. Serves 6. Contains 300 calories per serving.
