Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla ice cream - 1 item
- orange juice - 1/2 c
- dry white wine - 3/4 c
- orange zest - 1 item
- 1/2 sticks cinnamon - 2 item
- large pears, peeled, halved and cored - 6 item
How to make spiced poached pears:
In a large pan, combine wine, orange juice, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Add pear halves. Cover and cook for about 20 minutes until pears are translucent. Remove cinnamon stick; cool slightly. Garnish with orange zest. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
