Spiced meatballs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cider vinegar - 1/4 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- prepared horseradish - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1 Tbsp
- catsup - 1 Tbsp
- ground beef - 1 lb
- chili sauce - 1/2 c
- finely chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
- Accent - 1/2 tsp
- drops Tabasco sauce - 4 item
- seasoned bread crumbs - 3/4 c
- eggs, beaten well - 2 item
- Mix well
- drops Angostura Bitters - 3 item
How to make spiced meatballs:
Combine in a large mixing bowl. Mix well. Shape into 1-inch balls. Saute in 2 to 3 tablespoons butter until well browned. Drain well and set aside.Sauce:1/2 c. catsup1/2 c. chili sauce1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce1/4 c. cider vinegar4 drops Tabasco sauce3 drops Angostura Bitters1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion1 tsp. Accent1/2 tsp. dry mustard1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper Combine in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add meatballs and simmer an additional 10 minutes.
