Spiced cranberries
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- water - 2 c
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- fresh cranberries - 4 c
- pinch of ginger - 1 item
How to make spiced cranberries:
Wash cranberries; drain and set aside. Combine remaining ingredients in a large saucepan; bring to a boil. Add cranberries and cook 7 to 10 minutes or until skins pop. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let cool. Chill until ready to serve. Makes 2 cups.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Jams and preserves.
