Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 3 item
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 3/4 c
• nutmeg - 1 tsp
• buttermilk - 1 c
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 3/4 c
• allspice - 1 tsp
• ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
• ground ginger - 1/2 tsp

How to make spice cake:

Cream sugars and shortening; add eggs, milk and salt. Add remaining ingredients slowly until smooth. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool and frost with favorite frosting or sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
