Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1/4 c
  • hot water
  • prepared mustard - 1 tsp
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1/2 lb
  • cans tomato sauce - 2 item
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • raw rice - 1 c
  • bell pepper, chopped - 1/2 c

How to make spanish rice:

Heat oil in skillet. Add onion, bell pepper, beef and rice. Stir over high heat until browned. Add tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly and simmer 25 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
