Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- rice - 1 c
- chopped green pepper optional - 1 item
- can stewed tomatoes, chopped - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Fry rice and chopped onion in butter until browned. Add water, salt, pepper, stewed tomatoes with juice and chopped green pepper which is optional and mostly for looks. Put on to cook (low) 30 minutes. Do not remove lid while cooking. When finished, if you desire it a little hotter, add juice from Ro-Tel.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
