Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 item
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cheese - 3/4 c
- tomato sauce - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- rice cook according to pkg - 1 c
How to make spanish rice:
Brown onion, green pepper and meat in melted shortening. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper. Put layer of rice in greased casserole. Add a layer of the meat mixture, then a layer of cheese. Repeat and end with cheese. Brown in 375° oven for 20 to 3Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
