Ingredients/Components
- brown rice
- oil - 1 tsp
- bell pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- onions, chopped - 1/4 c
- garlic clove, sliced - 1 item
- chicken bouillon - 2 tsp
- Spanish rice seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- cumin seed - 1/2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- water - 3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- can chopped tomatoes with chiles - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Brown rice in oil . When rice starts to brown, stir in bell pepper, onion and garlic. Meanwhile in a bowl, put the chicken bouillon, Spanish rice seasoning, cumin seed, garlic powder and pepper. Put water and salt in microwave to boil. Put Ro-Tel and add all spices in boiling water; pour over rice. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.Note: Brown rice may take longer for water to evaporate.
