Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- long grain rice - 1 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- bell pepper, chopped - 1 c
How to make spanish rice:
In heavy skillet, heat cooking oil until hot. Add rice and stir until browned. Add ground beef and cook until red is gone and meat is almost done. Add onions and peppers and saute for a few minutes. Add tomatoes and salt and pepper to taste. Add enough water to keep it from sticking as it cooks. Cook until rice is done.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
