Ingredients/Components
- salt
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- onion, finely chopped - 1/4 c
- cooked rice - 3 c
- small can tomato sauce - 1 item
- slices bacon, cut up - 6 item
- cooked tomatoes - 1 c
How to make spanish rice:
Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet. Drain off most of fat. Add onion to remaining fat and cook over medium heat until onion is yellow. Add bacon and remaining ingredients. Cook, uncovered, over low heat about 15 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
