Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- lean hamburger - 1 lb
- medium onion - 1 item
- tomato juice - 1 qt
- rice - 1 c
- to 2 green peppers - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Brown hamburger meat in deep skillet or frying pan. Add peppers and onion. Cook about 10 minutes. Add tomato juice. When this is bubbling, add rice. Cover and cook slowly about 30 minutes; stir occasionally. Serve hot with garlic toast.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
