Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- tomatoes - 1 qt
- cumin powder - 1 Tbsp
- Monterey Jack cheese, shredded - 8 oz
- mild Cheddar cheese, shredded - 8 oz
- Spanish Rice-A-Roni, browned as directed on pkg - 1 pkg
How to make spanish rice:
Add ground beef and Rice-A-Roni and mix. Add seasonings; simmer on low heat until all liquid is absorbed. Put 1/2 of mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan and half of shredded cheeses on top of mixture. Alternate with mixture and cheeses again. Bake at 350°.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
