Spanish rice
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- chopped onion
- chopped celery
- garlic clove - 1 item
- tomato puree - 1 c
- strips bacon - 5 item
- raw rice - 3/4 c
- tomatoes, drained
How to make spanish rice:
Cook rice in 2 cups water with salt until fluffy. Fry bacon, add vegetables and cook until tender. Mix with rice, place in casserole dish and dot with butter. Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Yields 8 servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
