Ingredients/Components
- instant rice
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- diced green pepper - 1/2 c
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- water - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- sugar - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- dash of black pepper - 1 item
How to make spanish rice:
Saute rice, onion and pepper in vegetable oil. When rice is golden brown, add water and tomato sauce. Add salt, sugar, lemon juice and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and cook slowly for 5 minutes while covered with lid.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Side dish.
