Spaghetti with meat sauce
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- oregano - 1/2 tsp
- basil - 1/2 tsp
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- black pepper - 1/8 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
- can no-salt added tomato paste - 1 oz
- dry red table wine - 1/2 c
- can no-salt added tomatoes, chopped - 5 medium
How to make spaghetti with meat sauce:
Brown the ground beef in a large nonstick skillet. Pour off the fat. Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti. Cover and simmer over low heat 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. If sauce appears too thick, add water. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain. Pour sauce over spaghetti and serve.Note: I always mix meat sauce and spaghetti together.
