Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • lean ground beef - 1 lb
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • medium onion, chopped - 1 item
  • fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • can no-salt added tomato paste - 1 oz
  • dry red table wine - 1/2 c
  • can no-salt added tomatoes, chopped - 5 medium

How to make spaghetti with meat sauce:

Brown the ground beef in a large nonstick skillet. Pour off the fat. Add remaining ingredients except spaghetti. Cover and simmer over low heat 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. If sauce appears too thick, add water. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, omitting salt. Drain. Pour sauce over spaghetti and serve.

Note: I always mix meat sauce and spaghetti together.
