Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • 14 oz - 1 lb
  • dried oregano, crushed
  • snipped parsley
  • cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
  • dried thyme, crushed - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • monosodium glutamate - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomatoes, cut-up - 1 lb

How to make spaghetti sauce:

In Dutch oven, combine onion, meat and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion tender. Skim off excess fat, remaining ingredients and 2 cups water.

Simmer, uncovered, 3 hours or until sauce is thick. Stir occasionally. Remove bay leaf.
