Spaghetti sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 or
- salt - 1/2 c
- oil - 1 pt
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- sweet basil - 1 tsp
- onions - 3 lb
- bushel tomatoes - 1/2 item
- small cans tomato paste - 8 item
- garlic onions - 2 item
- hot peppers or 3 green peppers and 1 hot pepper - 4 item
How to make spaghetti sauce:
Cook tomatoes and garlic together and then strain. Cut onions and pepper together and cook in 1 pint of oil for 1/2 hour or until soft. Then put through strainer and add this juice to tomato juice. Add tomato paste, sugar, salt, sweet basil and oregano. Cook until thick, then put in jars.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Italian.
