Ingredients/Components

  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • pan sausage - 1 lb
  • thyme - 1 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic - 3 item
  • onions - 2 item
  • stalk celery - 1 item
  • seasoning salt - 1 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • can tomatoes - 1 item
  • cans tomato sauce - 3 item
  • poultry seasoning - 1 Tbsp

How to make spaghetti sauce:

Optional: You may use 1 pound ground deer meat instead of ground beef.

Brown meat in a Dutch oven or huge pot. Put seasoning in with onion, garlic and celery. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add tomatoes, tomato sauce and 3 cans of water. Add about 2 to 4 tablespoons of ketchup. Cook for 2 to 3 hours. Cook noodles, drain and put in sauce. Cook for 30 minutes more. If desired, about 1 hour before, add smoked sausage.
