Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
  • chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • cottage cheese - 1 c
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • spaghetti - 6 oz
  • shredded Mozzarella - 1/2 c
  • well-beaten eggs - 2 item

How to make spaghetti pie:

Cook and drain spaghetti. Stir butter into spaghetti. Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs. Form mixture into a crust in a buttered 8-inch pie plate. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of crust. In skillet, cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until vegetables are tender and meat brown. Stir in undrained tomatoes, paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Heat through. Turn into crust. Bake uncovered at 350° for 20 minutes. Sprinkle on cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer until cheese melts.
