  • ground beef, Italian sausage or a mixture of both - 1 lb

How to make spaghetti pie:

Brown beef or sausage with onion. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato paste, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley, water and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook spaghetti al dente and drain. Stir butter into hot spaghetti and toss until melted. Stir in Parmesan cheese and beaten eggs. Pat into bottom of well buttered dish or pie plates, forming a "crust."

Spread Ricotta cheese over the top of your "crust" and then spread your tomato and meat mixture over that. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese and shredded Cheddar cheese over the top and bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Makes a large casserole.

Hint: It is easier to work with the spaghetti if you break the noodles in half before you cook them.
