Spaghetti pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- tomato paste - 2/3 c
- Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 c
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- dried oregano - 1 tsp
- stewed tomatoes
- cooked spaghetti - 8 oz
- ground beef or sausage - 8 oz
How to make spaghetti pie:
Prepare beef, onion and green pepper; brown and stir in tomatoes, paste, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper and 1 cup spaghetti. In a large bowl, toss hot spaghetti with oil; set aside 1 cup of the spaghetti. Add Parmesan cheese and eggs to the tossed spaghetti. Press into a 10-inch pie plate. Spoon cottage cheese over spaghetti. Spoon beef mixture over the cottage cheese. Cover loosely with greased foil. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°. Remove cover and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese; continue baking for 8 to 10 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
