  • pkg - 1 oz
  • melted butter - 2 Tbsp
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 item
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese - 8 oz
  • onion, diced - 1 item
  • green pepper, diced - 1 item
  • can tomato pieces - 1 item

How to make spaghetti pie:

Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. In meantime, in medium bowl combine egg, Parmesan cheese and butter. Add spaghetti; toss well. Put mixture in bottom of 9 x 3-inch pan.

To prepare filling, brown ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic. Cook until veggies are done; drain. Add can of tomatoes with juice, basil and tomato paste. Simmer over low heat for approximately 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 of Mozzarella cheese on top of spaghetti. Pour beef mixture over top of cheese. Top with remaining cheese. Bake until cheese melts. To serve, cut in squares.
