Spaghetti pie
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- basil - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 1 item
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 8 oz
- onion, diced - 1 item
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- can tomato pieces - 1 item
How to make spaghetti pie:
Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Drain. In meantime, in medium bowl combine egg, Parmesan cheese and butter. Add spaghetti; toss well. Put mixture in bottom of 9 x 3-inch pan.To prepare filling, brown ground beef, onion, pepper and garlic. Cook until veggies are done; drain. Add can of tomatoes with juice, basil and tomato paste. Simmer over low heat for approximately 10 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 of Mozzarella cheese on top of spaghetti. Pour beef mixture over top of cheese. Top with remaining cheese. Bake until cheese melts. To serve, cut in squares.
