Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 3 c
  • garlic powder - 1/2 tsp
  • ground beef - 3/4 lb
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • grated Parmesan - 1/3 1/2
  • parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • spaghetti - 8 oz
  • shredded Mozzarella - 4 6
  • Ricotta or cottage cheese - 1 lb
  • spaghetti sauce small jar - 2 c

How to make spaghetti pie:

Brown beef in a large pot. Drain fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce and water. Bring to a boil and add spaghetti. Cover and cook on medium heat until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a large bowl, mix Ricotta, eggs, parsley, salt, oregano and garlic powder. Scoop 1/2 spaghetti in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Top with Ricotta cheese mixture. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Put rest of spaghetti mixture on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. After baking, let stand 15 minutes. Serves 6.
