Spaghetti pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
- can tomatoes, cut up - 8 oz
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- oregano - 1 tsp
- can tomato paste - 6 oz
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 c
- spaghetti - 6 oz
- green pepper, chopped - 1/4 c
- pork sausage - 1 lb
- well beaten eggs - 2 item
How to make spaghetti pie:
Cook spaghetti and drain. Stir in margarine, Parmesan and eggs. Form mixture into crust in buttered 10-inch pie pan. Cook meat, onion and green pepper. Drain. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Heat through. Spread cottage cheese over crust. Fill with tomato mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Mozzarella atop and bake for 5 minutes until cheese melts.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
