Spaghetti pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
- garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
- chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 1 lb
- cottage cheese - 1 c
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- shredded Mozzarella cheese - 1/2 c
- spaghetti, cooked and drained - 6 oz
- dried oregano - 1 tsp
How to make spaghetti pie:
Stir butter into cooked, hot spaghetti. Stir in Parmesan cheese and eggs. Form spaghetti mixture into a "crust" in a buttered 10-inch pie plate. Spread cottage cheese over crust. In skillet, cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is brown; drain off fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Heat through. Turn meat mixture into spaghetti crust. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top.
