Spaghetti carbonara
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- heavy cream - 1 c
- grated Parmesan cheese - 3/4 c
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- black pepper - 1/4 tsp
- spaghetti - 1 lb
- white wine - 1/4 c
- large onion, chopped coarsely - 1 item
- slab bacon, cut into small chunks - 1/4 lb
- mushrooms, cut into halves or fourths - 1/2 lb
How to make spaghetti carbonara:
Saute bacon, onion and mushrooms until bacon is cooked. Add wine and simmer 10 minutes. Cook pasta and drain; toss with butter. Stir in cream and add cheese and parsley. Put bacon mixture on top of pasta. Serve with extra cheese.Recipe categories: Pasta, Main dish, Spaghetti.
