  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
  • ground pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • cooked spaghetti noodles - 1/2 lb
  • skimmed milk - 3/4 c
  • to 10 slices chopped bacon - 8 item

How to make spaghetti a la carbonara:

In a small bowl, blend milk and egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper (set aside). In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Return drippings to skillet. Saute the garlic in drippings. Cook
