- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- melted margarine - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- cornmeal - 1 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- chopped chilies - 1/4 c
How to make southwestern cornbread:
Beat egg slightly and add milk and margarine. Add remaining ingredients and stir only until moist. Spread mixture in a greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 425° for 20 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Quick breads.
