  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • margarine - 1/3 c
  • pecan halves - 1 c
  • dark corn syrup - 1 c
  • butter flavoring - 1/4 tsp
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item

How to make southern pecan pie:

Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, dash of salt, corn syrup, melted margarine and butter flavoring. Add pecans. Pour into pie shell. Bake in moderate 350° oven for 50 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between outside and center of filling comes out clean. Cool.
